RX Joins CAPUNP in China International Fair for Trade-in Services for Strategic Cooperation MOU Signing

CAPUNP Executive Vice Chairman Robust Wang & RELX Senior Vice President Hugo Zhang signed strategic cooperation MOU at CIFTIS.

In September 2021, RELX (RELX), the parent company of RX, and the China Association for Promoting UN Procurement (CAPUNP) signed a memorandum of understanding with China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTS) at the Global Procurement and Digital Economy Sustainable Development Forum. The MOU is a commitment of thorough cooperation in international commerce and trade. The memorandum will also help more Chinese Enterprises to be a part of the United Nations Global Procurement System, to explore diversified international markers, and to take part in international economic and technical cooperation and competition.

By collaborating with RELX, CAPUNP, which has a long-term cooperation with more than 10 United Nations Agencies, will now gather global resources, guide business clusters, and continue to inject new growth momentum into international business cooperation. According to Robust Wang, Executive Vice Chairman and Secretary General of CAPUNP:

“The exhibition economy has a large multiplier effect and has a strong ability to drive new forms of foreign trade and the development of the digital economy. CAPUNP's cooperation with RELX shows a great potential in the field of exhibition and will promote more Chinese enterprises, products and services in the international public procurement market,"

RELX will focus on contributing to the strategic cooperation, actively following the new development pattern of prioritizing domestic cycle and promoting both companies in the domestic and international cycles later on. The company also aims to build a high-quality platform connecting China and the world in terms of international procurement, investment promotion, train exchange and open cooperation, among others.

Michael Cheng, President of RX Greater China (RXGC), shared during the signing, “In the strategic cooperation between RELX and CAPUNP, the two parties will optimize and combine each other's professional knowledge and service system, industry resources, global network, digital capability and market-oriented operation to help more Chinese enterprises participate in business opportunities in the global economy; and promote the sustainable development of China's export-oriented economy”.

Through the cooperation of RX and CAPUNP, more Chinese enterprises can participate in high-quality international exhibitions and forums, enhance their understanding of international public procurement channels such as the United Nations procurement qualification and expand overseas sales channels. RELX’ rich experience and strong technology on law, data, and digital analysis will supply strong professional support for the cooperation.
