On August 26, Reed Exhibitions China came out a major winner from the 2011 New Commerce Model Industry Economy Summit and award ceremony, held at the Tianjin Meijiang Convention & Exhibition Center.
The award ceremony, co-sponsored by Alibaba and the International Exhibition Industry Alliance (IEIA), was held to celebrate 18 of the country’s most popular trade fairs among small and medium enterprises (SMEs) – a list that heavily featured Reed Exhibitions China events. The subsequent gala evening was attended by 1000 leaders from the top exhibiting companies and market segments, as well as from provincial and regional governments and SME representatives from Tianjin and Beijing.
Of the 18 honors awarded, six went to events organized by Reed Exhibitions Greater China. These included:
• API China, a showcase for solutions in the manufacturing of pharmaceuticals & active ingredients;
• China Beijing International Gift, Premium & Houseware Exhibition: North China’s primary gift & homeware event;
• China (Shenzhen) International Toy & Gift Fair, China’s largest toy & gift trade show;
• China (Shenzhen) International Gift, Handicrafts, Watch & Houseware Fair, the nation’s most sizable gift & homeware event;
• NEPCON China, one of the largest and longest standing trade and sourcing platforms for the country’s SMT and electronics manufacturing industries, and
• PHARMCHINA, one of the biggest pharmaceutical trade shows in China.
Given the diversity of SMEs’ marketing demands, shows like those organized by Reed Exhibitions China are a vital marketing platform. Presented by the IEIA, in conjunction with Alibaba, the list of six Reed events and 12 other exhibitions, which made up the most popular trade shows among SMEs, was compiled over four years of intensive research. Thousands of trade fairs and hundreds of collocated sub-events were evaluated before the final list was drawn up. This was based on the analytical results of buyers’ online searches and by matching exhibitor databases with those of buyers. These top-rated events, including Reed Exhibitions China’s six shows, will now be profiled to 40 million SMEs through Alibaba.com.
